Three leading Singapore based platforms to advance crowdfunding sector

27 May 2015: Singapore’s CoAssets, New Union, and Swedish platform FundedByMe have announced a tripartite alliance to grow the crowdfunding industry in South East Asia into a “credible trustworthy environment.” The companies will be working on a joint project and joint conferences over the next few months. The three firms see huge potential in the region and will be focusing on market education in addition to consolidating their experience into one alternative financing scheme for SMEs & entrepreneurs.

26 May 2015: The Synergy & Crowdfunding Forum (SCxSC) has announced the dates of its second event in Malaysia on 11-12 June 2015.  SCxSC Forum 2015 aims to explore issues of capital formation for young entrepreneurs in Malaysia, and the emergence of web-based innovations such as crowdfunding that will aid in connecting businesses to capital. Supported by the Securities Commission Malaysia and the Malaysian Business Angel Network (MBAN), it will feature Josh Daniell from the New Zealand equity crowdfunding platform The Snowball Effect as well as leading Asia Pacific angel investors.
